We haven't written up Akubra yet. Rather than fill this space with a generic summary, we leave it empty until an editor has actually shopped the brand and checked its size chart — who it suits, how the fit runs, where it falls short, and what to buy first.
From our researchOfficial size guide read directly: felt hats run 53 cm (XS) to 63 cm (XXL); 63 cm is stated as UK 7 3/4 / US 7 7/8. Straw hats use a separate, smaller run: S 55, M 57, L 59, XL 61 cm — so straw tops out well below felt. 63 cm is the hard maximum; a size-8 head is NOT served. Site sells to the US directly (UNITED STATES / USD storefront listed). Guide notes hats mould to the head over time and advises sizing up between sizes.
